    End of Year Library Update

    Thank you for extending your best effort to return all library books as soon as possible.

     

    We realize that things happen and books sometimes get lost. We ask that you communicate that with us.

     

    Students may return their books directly at any time to the library or by placing them in the designated mailbox in the main office. If lost books turn up over the summer, please return them when school resumes next year!

    Make sure to have your TB test when applying to become an LA Unified Volunteer.

    Huge thank you to our parents who are registering as parent volunteers! Please upload TB test information into the volunteer portal no later than 2-3 weeks after applying to be a volunteer. We must approve/deny volunteers within 30 days of their application submission. Below you will find the link to volunteer with LA Unified.

    Mental health professionals are available Monday through Friday, from 6am to 6pm, to provide support in English, Spanish, and other languages.

    Families and staff can call for mental health consultations and support. Teachers can also call to get help for their students.

    Welcome! Laurel Cinematic Arts & Creative Technologies Magnet opened in the 2020 - 2021 school year! We are a magnet school serving Kindergarten - 8th grades. To apply, first, complete a magnet application. Then, contact the school at (323) 654 - 1930 to obtain an enrollment packet. Submit the enrollment packet when all documents are completed by appointment.

    PBIS Store Donations

    We are reaching out to businesses and the larger Laurel CACT Community to fill our PBIS Student Store.

    Please share this Amazon Wish List with your network for donations to incentivize our students’ positive behavior and academic achievement.

    Middle School PE Uniforms are Here!

    Students who ordered PE clothes received their orders and are dressed for PE! Grey shirts are on back order and will be distributed as soon as they are received.

    Starting April 10

    This Mon/Wed, we launch AirTutors after school for additional Math/ELA tutoring. This will take place in the second-floor collaboration space.  There are 50+ students signed up for tutoring. Air Tutors is targeted on specific skills. Students will be grouped in small groups of 3-5 students per virtual tutor.

    After-school tutoring and The Tutoring Center for assignment support will continue to be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the library.
